Over a recent dinner in Whistler, with a husband and wife team, we talked about personal growth and its importance the work world – and for a happy relationship and life.

As far as I could tell, they had a great life, a wildly successful business and a great relationship – and had put a heck of a lot of work into them, including doing an in-depth personal development program – twice! They were wise enough to know they couldn’t figure everything out on their own and needed to immerse themselves in a program with a proven track record.

Many leaders I’ve worked with are the same: many quietly tell me about the groups they are part of (like AA or personal development programs, for example) to help them to grow and thrive – and they usually don’t share that with the outside world.
