Your Oxygen Mask First, in Montreal

Salut! Earlier this month, I flew to Montreal to meet senior executives of some fascinating businesses. I first had lunch with 20 CEOs to talk about the challenges and opportunities of building an amazing team, avoiding distractions, and having the clarity to focus on what matters; and then delivered a keynote to a roomful of CEOs and their executive teams, from eastern Canada, about the principles in my book.

I just love Montreal! It’s such a vibrant, historic city - and I loved staying with my great friend and host Cléo Maheux, whose home has been transformed from a traditional house into a modern masterpiece. I just love amazing design and am inspired to find an architect to do something similar. More about the benefits of a great environment to come in a future blog.

The highlight of the event was the launch of the French version of Your Oxygen Mask First, and I was amused to hear Cléo’s engaging, passionate introduction of me, in French. It’s always a joy hearing another language, and I wished I could understand what they were saying with my very basic French – especially when they were laughing!

Cléo is a masterful coach who is obsessed with helping others to succeed. She also translated my book and is the force behind making it available to the French market. My thanks to Cleo and her team for their support and warm hospitality.
